Since the founding of VSA, we have expanded our service offerings to include Car Audio, Custom Builds, Remote Starts, Tint, Wrap, Vinyl, and more. Serving Lubbock, Texas and the surrounding areas.
Leon Winchester and Steve Vernon have a combined 50 years' experience in the car audio and tint industry. The partners joined together in 2019 to create a multifaceted business to serve guests with all their needs for car audio, tint, and more.
VSA is a fast-paced environment and ever-evolving business expanding at rapid rates. Steve Vernon
Co-Owner
A business owner since 1981, Steve is a devoted family man and entrepreneur whose ventures span commercial advertising and real estate with The Lillie's Pad. His vision and drive are what shaped VSA into the multi-service shop it is today.
Leon Winchester
Co-Owner
Originally from Kansas, Leon's lifelong love of cars and music led him to 25+ years in car audio before co-founding VSA in 2019. He brings deep technical expertise and a personal passion for the craft to every build.
Mike Martinez
Lead Audio Technician
Born and raised in West Texas, Mike served his country as a U.S. Army communications specialist before channeling that discipline into 25+ years in the audio industry. A proud family man of seven, Mike brings precision, passion, and expertise to installs.
Lazaro Cantu
Audio Technician
A Lubbock native through and through, Lazaro has spent the last four years honing his craft at VSA. Known for his lusciousness and love of good food, he brings the same care and attention to every build that he brings to a great meal.
Carson DeFever
Lead Window Tinter
Lubbock born and raised, Carson is a God-fearing family man with over 15 years of mastery in window tinting. When he's not laying flawless film, you'll find him coaching little league or cheering on his favorite teams — a true pillar of the West Texas community.
Meghan Watson
Shop Assistant & Photographer
A proud Lubbock local and 2026 MEA Rookie of the Year, Meghan joined VSA two years ago and quickly made her mark. She turns heads at the gym and turns trash into treasure with her one-of-a-kind art — bringing that same creative eye to every photo she shoots for the shop.
Christian Maldonado
Lead Full-Stack Developer & Videographer
Texas born and raised, Christian holds a computer engineering degree from Texas Tech University and blends his love of programming with a passion for cinematography. He built the VSA app and website from the ground up and directs VSA TV.
